Courtesy and Respect are at the heart of what we teach at Team Black Belt.
Each class begins and ends with a bow, a traditional gesture that signifies respect for the dojo, the instructors, and fellow students.
This practice teaches children the importance of recognizing and honouring each other’s efforts and contributions, creating a supportive community where everyone feels valued and respected.
In our classes, children learn that martial arts is about more than just physical ability—it’s about developing character. By interacting respectfully with instructors and peers, children learn the value of kindness, patience, and humility.
These lessons in courtesy and respect help shape them into well-rounded individuals who carry these values into their daily interactions with others, fostering positive relationships and a respectful attitude towards all.
